Cheryl - Author

As a literary artist and a preschool teacher, Cheryl is devoted to children.  Upon graduation from Mount Holyoke College with a BA in Psychology/Early Childhood Development, Cheryl developed and implemented a pilot home stimulation program for special needs children under a grant from the Department of Mental Health.  Since 1978, Cheryl has worked as the lead teacher/director of a creative arts based preschool.  There she shares her literary work with the children whom she inspires to express themselves through the arts.

Cheryl, who writes poetry and picture books for children, independently published two picture book manuscripts, "Rockrhydin" and "Tessa's Necklace", as limited edition Storycards.  Her collaborations with Fern and Janice include several companion picture books for Fern's music albums, two children's specials for public access television, and a children's fitness video.  She has contributed lyrics for Fern's albums including the lyrics for two songs on "Kids! Christmas! Fern!" chosen by USA Today as Kid's Picks for the 1994 holiday season.  In her creative endeavors, Cheryl draws on divine inspiration and her love of children, the earth's creatures, and all living things.  She desires to share her vision through the embrace of her art and her teaching with children everywhere.  Cheryl, who has no children of her own, when asked if she does, replies, "A multitude".
